In the 1930s there was a riverbank bath, operating on the Soroksár bank of the Danube. Later, in parallel with the deterioration of the water quality of the Danube, deep-borings were executed, as a result of which mineral waters of valuable composition spurted out to the surface. Taking this opportunity, by 1961 the open-air Csepel bath was built, offering an adventure pool, a children's pool, a swimming pool, and in addition a thermal pool, as well. The open-air bath situated in picturesque surroundings attracts many guests, members of the older generation, as well. In 2002 the swimming and the adventure pools were equipped with water-filtering and -revolving devices. The adventure pool, apart from its comfort-increasing adventure-applications, operates with a three-path water-slide system. By 2003 the children's and thermal pools are to be re-constructed.
